Join us for an Irish inspired Supper Club on Saturday 23 January 2016 at 7pm. I’m so excited to be finally doing an Irish Supper Club. I’m from Northern Ireland and I did my culinary training at Ballymaloe Cookery School in East Cork, so I’ve cooked a fair bit of Irish food in my time. Ireland is famous for it’s beautiful produce, beef, pork, seafood and butter to name just some of the most feted exports. Many French restaurants now serve imported Irish seafood, because it is considered some of the best in the world. This menu is perfect for a cold January evening, come along and warm your belly with our Irish inspired dishes and beers.
Here are the details:
The menu: An Irish inspired feast. Think beautiful fish, freshly baked soda bread, bacon, cabbage, parsley, seaweed, cream, butter, Guinness and a wee drop of Irish whiskey of course!
Menu for 23 January
Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with Roasted Hazelnuts and Irish Soda Bread
Monkfish with a Red Pepper Vinagarette
Beef and Guinness Pie
Glazed Carrots and Creamed Kale
Carrageen Moss Pudding with an Irish Whiskey Sauce.
Irish Breakfast Tea and Petit Fours
The beer: Bring along a bottle or two of beer, or anything else you fancy drinking. Guinness is the obvious choice, but there are plenty of other great Irish breweries producing classic red ales, Irish stouts and more.
The time: 7pm to 11pm, Saturday 23 January 2016
The place: Our home in Leytonstone, E11 4PR. Details will follow once you’ve booked.
The cost: Suggestion donation of £30 per person, payable in advance please. For three courses plus a few extras.
